Reigate, Redhill & Banstead
Later years for the curious, creative and still becoming
Personal support for older people who want to keep making, exploring, gardening, learning and contributing. We're a different kind of later-life support.
- Founded by Chime Hannah
- 10 years in care, reimagining aging
- Serving Redhill & Reigate families

We believe later life is for living.
Still becoming
Your parent isn't done. They're still curious, still capable of new experiences, still themselves. We support the person, not the deficit.
Still contributing
Wisdom doesn't expire. We connect older people with younger generations through workshops, mentoring and shared skills. Being valued matters at every age.
Still creating
Art, gardening, music, writing, cooking, conversation. We encourage the practices that make later years rich, not just safe.
We're not for everyone, and that's the point.
Creative Years is for
- Older people who want to keep being themselves
- Families who see their parent as a whole person, not a problem to manage
- Those who value curiosity, creativity and contribution
- People who'd rather be in their garden than in front of the television
- Families who want quality over quantity in care
- Those willing to pay properly for properly supported care
Creative Years isn't for
- Families looking for the cheapest care option
- People who want their parent passively looked after
- Those who view later life as decline to be managed
- Anyone wanting a generic care service
- Situations needing complex clinical or nursing care
If this resonates, we should talk. If it doesn't, there are excellent care providers in Redhill and Reigate who'll serve you better.

Founded by Chime Hannah
Chime Hannah spent ten years working in the care industry — and saw everything that needs to change. She watched how older people were reduced to lists of needs. She saw talented care workers leave because they weren't treated or paid properly. And she kept meeting families who wanted something richer for their parents than the default option.
Creative Years is her answer. She believes aging should be seen as a stage of life where people keep becoming — not a slow winding down. She wants care workers to be paid well, respected deeply, and proud of what they do. She wants to attract the next generation of workers into an industry that deserves their talent.
This is the service she'd want for her own family — and the industry she always wished she could work in.
Practical support, woven through a different philosophy.
We do everything you'd expect from quality care, with the creative and community elements woven through.
Personal care, delivered with dignity
Bathing, showering, dressing and undressing. Toileting and continence care. Oral care, shaving, hair washing and grooming. Skin care and pressure area awareness. Mobility support and safe transfers. All delivered with skill and discretion.
Household and home support
Meal preparation tailored to preferences and dietary needs. Light cleaning, laundry, ironing and bed-making. Food shopping and errands. Help with appointments, post and bills. Keeping the home a comfortable place to live.
Medication support
Medication prompting or administration as needed. Liaison with GPs and pharmacies. Repeat prescription management. Clear records kept for family peace of mind.
Companionship and cultural outings
Galleries, gardens, theatre, coffee, the seaside, lunch out. Continued exploration matters. Drives to favourite places. Sunday outings. Conversation that doesn't run out.
Creative encouragement
Art sessions at home, music, writing, photography, crafts. Bringing materials, setting up, sitting alongside. We support the practices that make later years rich, whatever form they take.
Garden support
Many older people lose access to their gardens. We help them keep that connection. Gentle gardening together, propagation, planting, harvesting. Or simply sitting in the garden with a cup of tea on a good day.
Workshop and community access
Regular sessions at local Reigate venues. Art and gardening workshops. Intergenerational projects with local schools. Your parent can be as involved as they want to be.
Intergenerational mentoring
Match your parent with younger people who'd benefit from their experience and skills. Retired teachers mentoring students. Retired professionals sharing what they know. Being valued at every age.
Travel and adventure
Day trips to favourite places. Longer outings. Accompanied trips and accessible day visits where appropriate. Many older people stop travelling because it feels too hard alone. We make it possible again.
Skilled support for specific conditions.
Many older people need support that's shaped by a specific condition. Our professionals are experienced across the situations most families encounter.
- Dementia and Alzheimer's
- Parkinson's disease
- Stroke recovery and rehabilitation
- Diabetes management
- Heart conditions
- Mobility limitations and falls recovery
- Hospital discharge and convalescence
- Arthritis and chronic pain support
- Vision and hearing impairment
- Sensory and cognitive changes
- End-of-life care, where appropriate
- Bereavement and emotional support
If your parent's needs are complex or require ongoing clinical or nursing intervention, we'll be honest about whether we're the right fit. Some situations need a CQC-registered provider with nursing capability, and we'll happily point you to good ones in Surrey. Either way, the conversation costs you nothing.
What we don't do
We're honest about our limits.
We don't currently offer overnight or live-in care. If your parent needs someone present through the night, or needs a live-in arrangement, we can help you find an excellent provider in Surrey who specialises in this.
We don't take on situations that require nursing-level clinical care, such as wound care, injections, complex medication regimes that require nursing oversight, or care needs that should sit with the NHS or a CQC-registered nursing provider.
If you're not sure whether we're the right fit, just ask. The conversation costs you nothing and we'll point you in the right direction either way.
A different deal for care professionals.
Care work in Britain is undervalued, underpaid and often joyless. We're building something different.
The professionals who work through Creative Years are self-employed, properly paid, and supported to build their own practice. They earn what their skill deserves. They have continuity with the families they support. They're respected as the professionals they are.
We treat care as a profession on par with teaching and nursing. Because it is one.
This matters to you because professionals who feel valued deliver better support. The care professional who arrives at your parent's home is engaged, invested and there for the long term.
Embedded in Reigate.
Creative Years isn't just a service that arrives at your parent's door. We're building a community of older people, families and care professionals across Redhill and Reigate.
We're partnering with local churches and community spaces to host regular art and gardening workshops. We're connecting with schools for intergenerational projects. We're building a network where older people are visible, valued, and part of the local fabric.
Your parent can be as involved as they want to be. Some families just want excellent personal support at home. Others come to workshops, mentor younger people, and become part of something bigger. Both are welcome.
Honest about price.
Creative Years starts at £28 per hour for personal support. That's competitive because we're not a traditional agency.
We introduce self-employed care professionals who share our values. They set their own rates, keep what they earn, and aren't subject to the agency fees that keep this profession low-paid. You pay a fair price. They earn a fair wage. Everyone wins.
Specialist services — creative facilitation, complex support — are at appropriate rates. We're priced where we are because:
- Self-employed professionals keep what they earn — no agency taking a cut
- We invest in the relationships, not just the visits
- Quality of support is our entire offer
- We're building something for the long term
If you want to understand what this actually costs for your situation, tell us what you need and we'll be transparent.
Common questions
We start from a different question. Most agencies ask what's wrong and how to manage it. We ask who your parent is and what they want their later years to feel like. The practical support follows from that — done properly, by professionals who are paid properly.
Personal care is part of what we do — washing, dressing, mobility, medication prompts. Our professionals are trained and experienced. What differs is the spirit in which it's offered: with dignity, never rushed, woven into a day that also has space for the things your parent loves.
Yes. Every professional is experienced, DBS-checked, fully insured, and continuously supported. Many hold formal care qualifications. All of them are people we would trust with our own family.
Reigate, Redhill, Banstead, Horley and Dorking at present. If you're nearby, ask — we may be able to help or recommend someone who can.
After your enquiry Chime will be in touch within one working day, and we'll usually have an introductory visit arranged within a fortnight.
Personal support starts at £28 per hour. Specialist services (creative facilitation, complex support) are at appropriate rates. We'll give you transparent numbers for your situation after we understand what you need.
We'd rather know early. The introductory visit exists so everyone — your parent, your family, the professional — can feel honestly whether this is right. If it isn't, we'll say so and recommend alternatives.
We operate within the regulatory framework appropriate to the support we provide. We're happy to talk through this in detail on an enquiry call.
They will, and that's expected. Because we know your family and your parent, we adapt with them — gently increasing support, bringing in specialist colleagues, or helping you plan next steps when the time comes.
